Installation for Uniflow Client for Mac (No Jamf automate)

  1. Login to the Uniflow Online dashboard @ https://salinascityesd.us.uniflowonline.com
  2. Click on the Button titled “Continue with Google”
  3. Click on the “Start Printing” button on the top left of the window
  4. Under the “Install Printer Driver” choose your operating system
  5. Instal the driver package and follow the prompts
  6. OS will prompt multiple times to link the users Google account to Uniflow Online

Test Print Job

  1. Navigate to the printers & scanner, search for the Salinas Secure Print
  2. Click on the Salinas Secure Print, Click on the “Open Queue” button
  3. On the top right corner, Click on Printer, Click on “Print Test Page”
  4. A“printetool” OS prompt will appear, enter the local admin and doitnow 
  5. Navigate to the Uniflow Online dashboard and confirm the print job is listed under the My Queue section in the Dashboard page.

Removal of legacy printers and drivers

  1. Remove only the old Bizhubs Konica Minolta Printers/drivers

Installation for Uniflow Client for Mac (Jamf automation)

  1. Confirm that the uniflow online icon is running in the top right corner (Menu Bar)
  2. If Uniflow Online icon is not present, navigate to the applications folder and launch Uniflow Application
  3. If Uniflow Application is not present in the application folder, then install the Uniflow Client (See instructions listed above)
  4. Uniflow Online will prompt the user to Click on “Continue with Google” this will link the Google user account with Uniflow Online
  5. Uniflow may have a window in the background that will have a start button that will need to be selected.
  6. Confirm that the Salinas Secure Print printer is in the Printer & Scanner section.
  7. Send a test print (refer to the instruction listed above)
     

Installation for Uniflow Client for Windows

  1. Login to the Uniflow Online dashboard @ https://salinascityesd.us.uniflowonline.com
  2. Click on the Button titled “Continue with Google”
  3. Click on the “Start Printing” button on the top left of the window
  4. Under the “Install Printer Driver” choose your operating system
  5. Instal the driver package and follow the prompts
  6. OS will prompt multiple times to link the users Google account to Uniflow Online

Test Print Job

Installation for Uniflow Extension for Chromebook

  1. Click on the Chrome extension, titled “Uniflow Online” 
  2. Pin the extension to the google toolbar
  3. Click on the extension, enter the following URL:https://salinascityesd.us.uniflowonline.com
  4. Click on the sign button to link the Google user with Uniflow Online
  5. Click on the “Google” Button
  6. Window will appear “All Done” Registration to your account was successful
  7. Perform a test print, select the “Uniflow Online” printer from the printer list.

Guest Printing

Email print job to mobileprint@salinascityesd.us.uniflowonline.com

Guest or contracted employees will receive a job code to retrieve print jobs. This is different from a pin code and has its own button on the copy machine.

Resolving Common Issues (Please add to this section as new issues arise):

MAC - Uniflow Client App not installed

  1. Check to ensure the device is properly enrolled with Jamf. If jamf is not installed, go to https://scesd.jamfcloud.com/enrol to enroll the device. Once enrolled uniflow will push out within a few minutes. Or you may manually install.
  2. Device has the Jamf profile, but has not pushed out the Uniflow Client. Open the Terminal in the admin user account and run these commands: sudo jamf policy and sudo jamf recon. These commands should cause Jamf to communicate and start to sync. If not, take not of the jamf issues and manually install the uniflow client.
  3. If adding jamf to a device, record the serial number and consult with Yazmin to ensure that device is enrolled in ASM.

MAC - User name already used

  1. Change the username in system preference ->Users and Groups. Right click on the username to change. Note: if the user is using the Admin account, rename it to their name, then create a new admin account. Once you create a new admin account, change the user account to a standard account. Username: (Site-Position) 

MAC - Uniflow Client not launching

  1. Uninstall app through the terminal, then reinstall from the uniflow website. sudo bash /etc/smartclient/uninstall-smartclient.bash

WINDOS - Uniflow Client not launching

  1. Uninstall in add or remove programs

WINDOWS & MAC - Gate card not registered

  1. Have user tap card at printer, printer will prompt for access code. Enter pin code and card will automatically register with uniflow.

Contracted employees cant print

  1. Email print job to mobileprint@salinascityesd.us.uniflowonline.com
  2. Employee will receive a job code to retrieve print job. This is different than a pin code and has its own button on the copy machine.

MAC - Uniflow process/service not running

  1. If the Uniflow process/service is not apparent on the top right menu bar. Navigate to the application folder and launch Uniflow. If the issue is recurring at the Uniflow to the login items under system & preferences/Users.
