How to add a Classroom Printer via Printer Cable (MacBook)
- Connect your printer to your MacBook with a Printer Cable
- On your Mac, click on the Apple Logo → System Preferences → Printers & Scanners
- If Padlock is closed on the bottom-left side of the panel, click on the Padlock and enter the admin credentials:
- Username: admin
- Password: doitnow
- Click the Add button on the bottom-left side of the panel
- Identify the name of the printer you would like to add and select it
- Hint: Look for the printer that is listed as USB under Kind
- The Use section should auto-populate to AirPrint
- Click the Add button and it will revert you back to the Print Settings pane and the printer will appear on the list to the left
- Note: You will only be able to print to this printer when you are connected via cable
