How to add a Classroom Printer via Printer Cable (MacBook) 

  1. Connect your printer to your MacBook with a Printer Cable 
  2. On your Mac, click on the Apple Logo → System Preferences → Printers & Scanners 
  3. If Padlock is closed on the bottom-left side of the panel, click on the Padlock and enter the admin credentials:
    • Username: admin
    • Password: doitnow 
  4. Click the Add button on the bottom-left side of the panel
  5. Identify the name of the printer you would like to add and select it
    • Hint: Look for the printer that is listed as USB under Kind
    • The Use section should auto-populate to AirPrint
  6. Click the Add button and it will revert you back to the Print Settings pane and the printer will appear on the list to the left
  7. Note: You will only be able to print to this printer when you are connected via cable
