How to add a Bizhub Copier via IP Address
Preface: you will need to obtain the IP address for the Bizhub Copier
On the Bizhub Copier:
- Click the Menu Button (with the Home Icon) to see the main menu
- Click on Utility → Device Information
- Make note of the IPv4 Address and the model of the Bizhub Copier
On your MacBook:
- Click on the Apple Logo → System Preferences → Printers & Scanners
- If Padlock is closed on the bottom-left side of the panel, click on the Padlock and enter the admin credentials:
- Username: admin
- Password: doitnow
- Click the Add button on the bottom-left side of the panel and a pop-up window will open
- In the header, switch over from the Printer Icon to the World Icon
- Type in the IP address and change Protocol to ' Line Printer Daemon - LDP'
- Name the printer how you would like it to appear on your MacBook. Our typically naming convention: SchoolSite-Model-Location - ex: LWS-KM558-WrkRm
- In the Use section, use the drop-down to choose Select Software... and use the filter to search for the Bizhub model number (ex: 558)
- The next section will have drop-down menus for 'Printer Options'. Select option codes by model # indicated below:
- Finally, click 'Ok' and it will revert you back to the Print Settings pane and the copier will appear on the list to the left
